Publications

ENGSO develops and defends common positions to direct European decision-makers' attention toward grassroots sport issues.

We also make the results of our projects available for free of charge and publish our Annual Reports and our quarterly Newsletter "Sports in Europe" to share knowledge and experience.

Policy documents

In this report the most important ENGSO activities, projects and events are summarised from the year 2018.

Sport is the biggest civil society movement in Europe – and voluntary-based grassroots sports clubs are its backbone. Grassroots sport carries with it enormous potential in terms of health and disease prevention, but also social inclusion and cohesion, civic engagement and democracy, skills and employment, regional and local development, and the economy at large.

In this document, ENGSO advocates for a sufficient level of funding for grassroots sports organisations in the EU's funding schemes.

In this report the most important ENGSO activities, projects and events are summarised from the year 2017.
