This European Week of Sport, #SupportYourClub

Since its launch in 2015, ENGSO has been actively contributing to the #BeActive campaign, by organising our own events and spreading the #BeActive message online as well. This year, due to the impossibility of holding international face-to-face gatherings, we are launching a new digital campaign in celebration of the European Week of Sport.

"The coronavirus pandemic shook the European sports sector to the core. The consequences for sport clubs are especially distressing, as they provide easily accessible and affordable sporting activities to citizens. Therefore, this year, we ask you to #BeActive and #SupportYourClub at the same time" - says ENGSO President Stefan Bergh.

Our Erasmus+ Sport collaborative partnership project, CHAMP has gathered the most significant challenges that sport clubs encounter this time. The project consortium is currently working on providing solutions to these challenges and will make them available to everyone in a Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) later in the autumn.

CHAMP Project Manager, Lovisa Broms says: “Sport clubs are the core of the organised sport movement in Europe, in a time of crisis they need all the support they can get. The CHAMP project is supporting sport clubs to implement new and innovative practices and strategies to tackle everyday-life challenges. Interested in supporting your sport club? Do not miss the opportunity to take the CHAMP online course coming this November!”
