The VOICE project is underway and it needs you!

ENGSO Youth is a partner in the EU project „Voices for truth and dignity – combatting sexual violence in European sport through the voices of those affected ”. The initiative runs from January 2016 until June 2018 and ENGSO Youth is a disseminating and counselling partner.

This is a research and knowledge-exchange project that aims to raise awareness of sexual violence and abuse in European sport and to educate about adequate measures to prevent and to handle this phenomenon.

The initiative involves eight higher education partners from eight EU countries; all are linked to sport organisations in the respective member states.

The project had two meetings so far, the kick-off in February 2016 in Cologne and the second last month in Vienna. It is currently in the phase of collecting testimonies from those who have been affected by sexual violence in sport. If you feel that you can contribute to this research, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the researcher partners by writing an email to [email protected]. If you haven’t been affected by sexual violence in sport, you can still support the project with disseminating the opportunity to take part in it by sharing its call for participants.
