Our Executive Committee met in Frankfurt

On 20 and 21 April, our Executive Committee held its second meeting of the year and had at the same time a joint meeting with the ENGSO Youth Committee and representatives of our Equality Within Sport (EWS) Committee. Dr Karin Fehres, representative of our member and the host of the meeting, the German Olympic Sports Confederation (DOSB) opened the meeting and warmly welcomed everyone.

On Friday, 20 April, the Executive Committee held an internal meeting, discussing strategic issues, such as our statutes, our sport policy programme and the workplan for 2019. The board also had some talks about our upcoming events, including our General Assembly.

On Saturday, 21 April, the Executive Committee meeting continued in the morning and was followed by a joint meeting with the ENGSO Youth Committee. In the latter one the two decision-making bodies exchanged thoughts on currently hot topics, such as e-sport, the modernisation of sport clubs, gender equality and the upcoming General Data Protection Regulation. There was also a presentation held about submitted Erasmus+ project proposals where ENGSO and ENGSO Youth are involved.

Our Secretary General, Stefan Bergh was very satisfied with the outcome of these two intensive days:

We have now discussed and prepared the most important documents for the General Assembly in June, which is very good. We also had very interesting discussions with ENGSO Youth about future co-operation around specific topics.

And finally, I would like to thank our fantastic host, DOSB, for a very well-organised meeting!
