News from ENGSO Youth

Updated: Nov 20, 2019

An action-packed couple of months is behind ENGSO Youth. Here is a recap on what they have been doing recently.

The list of Young Delegates for the mandate of 2019-2021 has been announced

In September, ENGSO Youth was looking for the 2019-2021 Young Delegates, young people who are willing to take meaningful action and play an important role in advocating for and empowering children and young people in the sport for all sector. The list of Young Delegates has been announced and you can have a look at it by clicking here.

Beside the selection process, ENGSO Youth is also busy with planning the Young Delegates' meeting which will be held from the 22nd to the 26th of November 2019 in Budapest, Hungary. The aim of the meeting is to develop and design the “Sport for Active Citizenship” toolkit. The Young Delegates' meeting is supported by the Council of Europe through the European Youth Foundation.

Online campaign during the European Week of Sport

During the European Week of Sport 2019, ENGSO Youth practiced what we preach and put their sport skills on display. Each member answered why they love sport and shared a #BeActive photo. See ENGSO Youth celebrating the #BeActive movement by clicking here.

Update on Erasmus+ projects

ENGSO Youth is currently enrolled in five Erasmus+ Sport projects. SK4YS partners were in Cyprus for the second international meeting. The meeting was hosted by the Cyprus Youth Council, in the Home For Cooperation situated in the buffer zone of the world’s last divided capital. The partners of the COMEin project finished the training phase and are now actively working on the upcoming toolkit. They are also preparing for the final conference which will be held in Nantes, France from the 24th to the 26th of October.
