In November, the Education, Youth, Culture and Sport Coulcil was convoked and the EU Sport Directors have also gathered to discuss EU sport issues. At the European Parliament, the Culture and Education Committee held its meeting on the Erasmus for All and the Europe for Citizens Programme. At the Council of the EU, the Expert Groups on Sustainable Financing of Sport and Good Governance finalized their tasks and made recommendations. At the Council of Europe, there were developments regarding the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Sport.
In regard to ENGSO matters, we can inform you about the improvements on the innovative partnership projects, which ENGSO collected and made public in a booklet at the ENGSO Forum in the framework of the thematic year "building partnership to create effective change". You may read about the ENGSO Hearing organised at the European Parliament at the end of November and the ENGSO activities supported by the Operational Grant of the European Commission for the year 2012. In case you are concerned with European youth sport matters, the European Youth and Sport Forum and the project "Safer, better, stronger! Prevention of Sexual Harassment and Abuse, in both of which ENGSO Youth is a partner, are might be of interest to you. A representative of IRIS (Institut de Relations Internationales et Strategique), Pim Verschuuren contributed to the Newsletter with an article on the IRIS project on fight against match-fixing, for which ENGSO is really thankful. In the December Newsletter, we have also disclosed our plans how to improve the inclusion of migrant through sport with a follow-up project of the "Creating a Level Playing Field" project.
